Longford Outreach Clinic is now being held in the Citizens Information Centre, Level 1, Longford Shopping Centre. Please contact the CIC for further details.

The following services are available:

• Minor hearing aid repairs (Health Service aids only)
• Hearing aid batteries for sale – 3.00 Euro a packet
• Information on Deaftech equipment
• Information on deafness, hard of hearing and tinnitus

Advocacy Service

A professional advocacy service available to assist people with disabilities in the county to access services relevant to their individual needs, such as health, housing, social welfare, education/training etc. It is a free, independent, confidential and impartial service and is available on a one-to-one basis.

A professional Advocate, Andrea Reynolds, who, based on an understanding of a client’s needs, can advise and support clients in order to make their own decisions, claim an entitlement, or take a course of action and, she will then, if appropriate, go on to negotiate or make a case on a client’s behalf.

Weekly Polish Clinic – Poradnia Polska

To facilitate the large Polish community in Longford in accessing their rights and entitlements on many varied matters, Co. Longford Citizens Information Service holds an Information Clinic with a Polish translator on Wednesdays from 10am – 12.30pm and 14.00pm – 16.00pm.

Weekly Slovakian Clinic – Slovenska Poradna

To facilitate Slovakian members of the community in accessing their rights and entitlements on many varied matters, Co. Longford Citizens Information Service holds an Information Clinic staffed by a Slovakian national on Wednesdays from 10am-12.30pm and 14.00pm-16.00pm.
